Bed & Breakfast Vallo della Lucania, in the heart of Cilento

The Bed & Breakfast La casa al piccolo borgo is located in Angellara, a tiny, old town surrounded by green tranquility and only a few steps away from the town centre of Vallo della Lucania. Its location, the climate, and the lush vegetation, the short distance from both mountains and sea, the history, and the numeorus itineraries - both naturalistic and touristic - make this place the perfect spot for your holidays in Cilento.

Angellara is nestled by the Mount Gelbison (m.1705) at the heart of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park; it was originally known for its hospital, adjacent to the chapel S. Incoronata Hospital. A census of the kingdom of Naples refers to two hospitals in the state of Novi, and mentions the one belonging to the City of Angellara, called Spedaletto. The village’s quiet alleys render it an enchanting place. Make sure you visit the church of S. Salvatore (where in 1712 the Bishop. Nicolai, received by the clergy, wore his pontifical vestments), the old square Olmo, where stands the church of St. Veneranda, and stroll through the surrounding countryside, discovering the simplicity and friendliness of its inhabitants. A visit to Angellara brings to mind the old and simple rural life, punctuated by the time of the seasons. There are also various festivals in the country throughout the year.

The Bed & Breakfast is structured on three levels.
On the first floor: a cozy living room with an old open fireplace; the kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need for long stays, a double bedroom with en-suite; and a bathroom with shower. The adjacent terrace, bright and sunny, overlooks the ancient church of S. Salvatore. On the upper floor, which can also be accessed by lift, there are two bedrooms with en-suite, furnished and equipped with every comfort, and the colorful terrace, perfect for watching the sunset during aperitif or for breakfast with a view of the surrounding hills and the sea. On the ground floor, there are 3 other rooms with a patio. The climate, warm and breezy over the summer and mild in the winter, allows a stay all year round. In front of the building there is a large area for parking, and a brand new multi-sports arena (football, tennis, fitness), a few meters away from the B&B.
